It was 1862 when a wine from Piedmont won the Gold Medal at the London
Exhibition. That nectar, presented with the name of Neive, was nothing but
the forefather of Barbaresco, the Nebbiolo rooted in the omonimous village
and in close nearby areas and of which they say it could turn a special
meal as a roasted pheasant into a true “King dish”. Only with a careful
and natural ageing in barrique, Grappa from Barbaresco pomaces
expresses an invincible pairing of Piedmontese dry fruit and spicy notes.
