Montemagno Castle stands out with its battlements and the surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty. A short walk around the outer walls of the castle is perfect for getting into the “Monferrato mood”.

3) LA MIRAJA AT CASTAGNOLE MONFERRATO
In the town of the rare and renowned Ruchè wine, the historic centre is embellished by the “Miraja”, the ancient village which, just behind the Church, is surrounded by the retaining wall and offers glimpses of fabulous manor houses.

4) THE VIEWPOINT AT CALLIANO

5) THE ANCIENT ARCADES OF MONCALVO
Called “the smallest city in Italy”, Moncalvo has preserved its historic arcades which surround the large piazza built on the level of the medieval castle. From here, you can explore the narrow lanes of the city centre.

6) THE “PARADISO” OF CREA
The Sanctuary of Crea stands on the Sacro Monte of the same name, a panoramic peak over Monferrato and the nature park. From the Piazzale del Santuario, the devotional path climbs up to the highest point to reach the chapel known as “Paradiso”.

7) CELLA MONTE: THE TOWN OF FLOWERS

8) ON THE “BIG BENCHES” OF ROSIGNANO AND SALA MONFERRATO

9) MOLETO: THE SARACEN TOWN
They say that the Saracens, before the year 1000, hid treasure in the caves near the small town of Moleto. Today, tourism is thriving as a result of the spectacular canton stone houses and the locals who were born here.

10) IL BIALBERO DELLA FELICITA’ (THE DOUBLE TREE OF HAPPINESS)
