Mazzetti d’Altavilla also joins the circuit of events promoted by the Wine Tourism Movement with a weekend full of visits and tastings
Not only wines but also spirits will be the protagonists of the upcoming edition of "Cantine Aperte," the series of events promoted by the Movimento Turismo del Vino (Wine Tourism Movement) , which will also open the doors of producers in Piedmont to enthusiasts and the curious on Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th. Mazzetti d’Altavilla is among the venues preparing to welcome the public over these two days, offering various opportunities to discover spirits "made in Monferrato." The Casa della Grappa, located atop the Altavilla Monferrato hill, will beopen Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility of informed tastings of spirits such as grappa, liqueurs, brandy, amari, gin, bitters, and fruit liqueurs. Guided tours will be available on both days, offering access not only to the Historic Park with the La Rotonda (1808) and the Garden, but also to the Piazzale delle Vinacce, the Distillery, the Aging Cellar, and the Galleria della Grappa tracing the journey from the materia prima to the final packaging of the Piedmontese spirit. The tour also includes guided tasting sessions, allowing visitors to learn the correct tasting techniques and the most suitable glasses for best appreciating young and aged spirits. Visitors will also be treated to a new multisensory experience dedicated to pairing traditional products with spirits: sensory tasting sessions are offered, combining the aromas and flavors of Piedmontese food staples with Mazzetti d’Altavilla . Those who sign up for this experience will also have access to the Panoramic Tower. Food lovers will have the opportunity to savor the menus offered by the Materia Prima, also requesting a tasting of the spirits paired with the various courses. On Sunday, there will also be the opportunity to taste Italian cigars in collaboration with the ADT Club.
