From dawn to dusk, tastings and events in Altavilla Monferrato
A delicious call for Sunday, October 21st in the hills in the heart of Monferrato. In the village of Altavilla , from 10 am until sunset , a day will take place where chocolate will be the protagonist through tastings, pairings, stalls and visits. The Monferrato town is preparing to host “ Chocolate in Monferrato ” next Sunday, a showcase of many initiatives linked to one of the most attractive excellences: chocolate will in fact be the protagonist thanks to master chocolatiers who will present decorations and delicious creations , the distribution of hot chocolate , but also to the over one hundred stalls planned that will surround the entire top of the village hill presenting a tribute to the sweet and food specialties of the area and everything representative of the Monferrato.
The day also includes special entertainment, such as children's games and entertainment with Clown and Juggler Marik , a gathering of Vespas and 500 Club Alessandria vehicles , and a saddle baptism by the La Margherita riding school . Art lovers will enjoy a painting exhibition , and guided tours of the Parish Church of San Giulio , a building of architectural merit, will be available . The day will round out with food and wine opportunities: you can enjoy lunch in the town center, featuring polenta, agnolotti, desserts, and Monferrato wines .
At Mazzetti d’Altavilla – Distillatori dal 1846, you can also visit the Votive Chapel " La Rotonda ," the photographic exhibition " Piedmont in the Spirit, " and the exhibition " 170 Years of Grappa ," as well as free guided tours (morning and afternoon) of the Distillery and Barrique Cellar to experience the magical ritual of distillation.
