In the year 1789 the name Bourbon was attributed for the first time to a Whiskey. Today Mazzetti d’Altavilla pairs that American ‘symbol’ with a noble distillate of the Piedmontese hills, the Grappa di Barolo. Left aging for over eighteen months in oak barriques, the Langa distillate thus assumes the characteristics of colour, scent, and aroma typical of a Reserve, highlighting spicy, roasted, and dried fruit hints. It is at this point that the Grappa di Barolo is in fact transferred into barrels previously used for the ageing of Bourbon Whiskey to meet all its sensorial charm..
