From a secret recipe devised in the Benedictine Monastery, which once stood atop Altavilla Monferrato, Amaro Forte is handed down, a true concentrate of that hortus simplicium, the ancient garden of simple medicines, where plants were once grown, selected by the monks to prepare compounds and medicines. Licorice, dandelion, cinchona, and peppermint are among the most prominent notes.
