Segni is born from the slow aging of this special Piedmontese grappa and the use of six different types of wood, one for each barrel in the set. It is the most sublime liaison between the patient maturation of the grappa and the experience gained by the Mazzetti family in producing Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena: for five years, the liquid is decanted through six barrels of decreasing capacity, from 100 to 10 liters, and made of six different types of wood—oak, chestnut, ash, cherry, mulberry, and juniper. The result is a concentration of many distinct aromas, in a delicate balance between smoothness and character.
