A multisensory evening dedicated to native grape varieties and Monferrato, the land featured in "Radici," the "Vignale in Danza 2023" show
Monferrato savored at the table, in a glass of native wine or local spirits, and through the stories and dance moves of artists who sing the praises of this ancient land. It will certainly be a multisensory evening on Friday, October 20th , at the historic venue in Mazzetti d’Altavilla , as part of the 2023 "Vignale in Danza" program . The special partnership between the businesses of the UNESCO hills and the direction of the renowned Vignale festival allows for a new event with multiple sensory and artistic facets. Following last year's success, dance returns to the "Casa della Grappa" to enjoy fine food and local spirits in the name of art. The “graceful” evening is entitled “ Roots – Dancing with Grignolino, Ruchè and Malvasia ” and, as the name suggests, will take those present on a journey to discover the culture of three native grape varieties that will be the protagonists of the journey of pairings between culinary art and iconic wines of Monferrato, offered during the dinner with a tasting menu (starting at 8 pm) at the Restaurant Materia Prima . At 9.30 pm the public will be able to take their seats on the suggestive panoramic floor of the ancient monastery where Mazzetti d’Altavilla to attend the show entitled “ is based Roots ”, focused precisely on the essential link with the Aleramic territory, produced and staged by Stabilimento delle Arti with the texts and reciting voice of Valeria Nicolucci , the dancers Linda De Angelis, Elena Rodilosso, Isabella Canova and the classical harpist Irene Zanghì . It's no coincidence that the title of the performance corresponds to the name of the line of young, pure grappas that Mazzetti d’Altavilla created three years ago to showcase three limited-production, geographically distinct wine varieties that are the pride of Monferrato. " It's a journey ," explains the event's artistic director, Michela Maggiolo , " to discover some of the locations that hosted the 2023 edition of Vignale in Danza, a story, our history seen precisely through dance ." The show, part of the events celebrating the 177th distilling season of "Distillatori dal 1846," will be accompanied by spirits and chocolate tastings to highlight the captivating blend of many arts: dance, writing and acting, distilling, and Piedmontese specialties such as chocolate.
