“POP COLORS”, A PAINTING AND SCULPTURE EXHIBITION, OPENS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 IN MARCALLO (MI)

 colorful that revives pop art in the contemporary world of our days, mixing different techniques from the use of fabrics, resins and acrylic pigments, enhancing the new icons of the twentieth century.

SAVERIO ARTIOLI 

“I live in Carpi, on a plain where the fog dims light and colors. This is probably one of the main reasons that sparked in me the desire for color and living objects that convey the idea of ​​vigor and joy. 

In 2010, after returning from Arte Verona, in the dead of night, charged with previously unexpressed emotions, the first installation was born. … and it was love at first sight! 

Being a dental technician brings me great satisfaction and has allowed me to acquire, over the years, a wealth of manual skills. Curiosity is probably the driving force behind my energy: in my work, I find the need to always learn more, and now, in art, I find these new stimuli for life, which I want to view with positive and passionate eyes. 

It's a delightful and captivating magic to see the looks on the faces of those who stop, appreciate, and buy my works, and it's exciting to see the approach of the children who love my large, colorful gorillas, dressed in unusual accessories.". 

JEAN-JACQUES BOUTIER 

How can scraps of fabric give rise to such wonderful artistic creations? The question arises spontaneously when observing the canvases depicting icons from the worlds of music, film, and art, created by Jean Jacques Boutier, an open collective, a working group that has been present on the scene for several years. 

Each canvas depicts an icon, made with scraps of fabric saved from a sad end in the waste paper basket. A kind of rebirthing that breathes new life into a lifeless fabric destined for a grim end. 

Fabrics that regain shape, vitality and brilliance; fabrics that speak, because their soul and their colours, once again brilliant, reveal all the essence that once distinguished them. 

All the fabrics together, combined with expert skill, form an immediately recognizable composition, speaking to the viewer who admires it and who, even being attracted by it, would like to caress it. 

Thus, a few years ago, in the field of architecture and its related applications, this working group was born under the pseudonym of Jean Jacques Boutier to give citizenship to the "out of fashion", the classic, the excess, the faded and the inert, with the aim of giving new life to some objects such as furniture that lose the function of containing, sofas that cease to have the function of "making 

accommodate”, mountains of fabrics thought out and designed that end up in the waste bin, because they are no longer suitable for the aseptic living room of glossy furniture magazines. 

All in observance of a religion of "minimalism" that banishes function, size, and color from fashion. And thanks to the skillful art of "Textile Rebirth," it comes back to life in a symphony of colors, light and shadow, chiaroscuro, old melodies, and memories that resurface. 

SKIRI 

My name is Andrea Antonio Schirinzi, aka "SKIRI," and I was born on April 19, 1979, in Milan. It was precisely the pop soul of Milan in the '80s and especially the '90s that was fundamental in shaping my creative sensibility. There are no compromises in my art, nor hidden meanings in my works; everything comes straight from the gut... instinctively. In art, there are no elite observers who can better understand what they are looking at; my subjects, even if in different ways, must reach everyone. My points of reference are those artists who, regardless of their field, are capable of shocking me. 

The group exhibition will be open to visitors from Saturday 16th September to Saturday 30th September opening hours Grappa Store (9.30am to 12.30pm and 3.00pm to 7.00pm, Monday to Saturday). 

The visit is free and there is the possibility of accompanying the tour to the exhibition with tastings of Mazzetti d’Altavillaspirits.
