To the echo of festive songs sung by the "Alpini Valtanaro" Choir (ANA Choir of the Alessandria Section), the new Mazzetti d’Altavilla Grappa & Cioccolato Store opened in the heart of Alessandria on Thursday, in partnership with Baratti & Milano. This event is a special preview of the busy weekend featuring the 27th gathering of the 1st Northwest Alpine Group, which awaits over 20,000 Alpine troops from Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta, Liguria, and France, as well as other regions of Italy, in Alessandria, all under the banner of the spirits of Mazzetti d’Altavilla, a company supporting the event. The bright new space at Via San Lorenzo 70 brings to the city a boutique entirely dedicated to the spirits produced atop the Altavilla Monferrato hill. The collection of grappa, brandy, liqueurs, gin, bitters, vermouth, whisky, and fruit liqueurs is complemented by a vast selection of chocolate from Baratti & Milano, a Piedmontese brand also founded in the mid-19th century. For the occasion, the "Valtanaro" Alpine troops have also created some rhyming verses inspired by Mazzetti grappa, which are solemnly sung inside and outside the shop, which is immediately visited by many locals and tourists.
