Rich haul at “The WineHunter Spirit Award” competition on its 180th anniversary
In the weeks marking the start of its 180th distilling season, Mazzetti d’Altavilla is celebrating this special milestone with four prestigious awards given to its spirits produced at the top of Altavilla Monferrato by the renowned “The WineHunter Spirit Award” competition.
The competition, linked to the well-known autumn event "Merano Wine Festival" scheduled for November in Alto Adige, has awarded four iconic Mazzetti d’Altavilla , spanning a wide range of labels, from grappas to gins, liqueurs, and vermouths. The Grappa 7.0 Riserva "Le Origini". Made from the pomace of Ruchè grapes from the famous "Vigna del Parroco," it achieved a score of 95.5, earning it a Platinum medal nomination, thus propelling the native Piedmontese grape variety to the top of the podium. Also notable are the Gold medals for the Gin Mazzetti Black Edition and the Caffè Mazzetti , which both won over the jury, respectively, with the distinctive personality of the latest gin created by the distillery founded in 1846 and with its traditional blend of aged grappa and coffee. Even the Vermouth di Torino Mazzetti, one year after its launch on the market, stands out by obtaining the “Rosso” recognition.
