The jury deemed the Riserva, made from Moscato and Cortese grapes, worthy of the "5 Grappoli Grappa Bibenda 2027" award, appreciating its notes, highlighted by the careful distillation of the freshest Piedmontese pomace and the patient aging in fine wooden barrels stored in the Mazzetti d’Altavilla. "Gaia Mazzetti" ranks among the pinnacles of smooth grappa, with Moscato lending extremely aromatic notes, hints of honey, ripe fruit, and lemon, combined with bouquets reminiscent of summer meadows in bloom. The extensive aging, over 18 months in barrels made from select wooden barrels, accentuates the gentle profile of a grappa recommended for lovers of extreme gentleness.
Riserva Gaia Mazzetti will be available for tasting at the end of the 5 Grappoli Dinner, which will take place in Rome on November 28th at the prestigious Hotel Rome Cavalieri, where its name will appear among the spirits admitted to the Bibenda Award-Winning Grappa List.
