A veritable shower of awards has fallen in recent weeks on Mazzetti d’Altavilla – Distillatori dal 1846, the most historic grappa producer in the North-West.
Numerous prestigious national and international competitions have awarded medals to grappas and brandies created by the centuries-old Piedmontese distillery, which has been particularly committed in recent years to promoting Italy's flagship spirit and raising awareness of its many virtues, including when mixed with food and paired with food.
Mazzetti d’Altavilla is among the winners of the thirty-fifth edition of the National "Alambicco d'Oro" Competition, organized by ANAG (Grappa and Spirits Tasters), where the seven-generation distillery won three medals, including a Best Gold and two Golds for its brandies aged in the Altavilla Monferrato barrique cellar! The awards include the Special Brandy Invecchiato 27 Anni (Gold Medal), the Brandy Invecchiato 20 Anni (Gold Medal), and the Grappa 7.0 Riserva di Ruchè 100% Cru (Best Gold Medal).
Casa Mazzetti also conquers the Asia Import News , a competition that awards both the Special Brandy Invecchiato 27 Anni and the Grappa 7.0 Riserva di Ruchè 100% Cru with the Gold Medal , and wins the prestigious “ World's Best Grappa ” award at the international World Drinks Awards competition , awarded, in yet another confirmation of its popularity, to Grappa 7.0 . Good news also from the French competition Les Citadelles du Vin: the transalpine competition awards the Brandy 20 Years with the Gold Medal .
At the English International Wine & Spirit Competition, the Spirito di Amaro and the 7.0 Grappa di Ruché 100% Cru received a Silver medal . Last but not least, in Germany, the Internationaler Spirituosen Wettbewerb awarded the Gold medal to the Riserva 18.46 , a long-aged blend made from Barbera and Dolcetto grape varieties.
