There's a super-delicious autumnal ingredient preparing to take center stage in the village of Altavilla Monferrato: chocolate. Sunday, October 15th sees the return of "Chocolate in Monferrato," a day to be spent, from dawn to dusk, celebrating one of Piedmont's and Italy's most prized delicacies. Chocolate will not only be the star of the many displays taking place along the town's streets, but also the king of the most popular pairings, such as the inevitable pairing with local spirits. And that's why the historic Mazzetti d’Altavilla will open its doors at Viale Unità d'Italia 2 for a day of discovery of the art of grappa and its many ways to enjoy it, celebrating the 177th anniversary of the company, run by the sixth and seventh generations of the Mazzetti family. The Casa della Grappa, a former monastery, will be open from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. It will feature Mazzetti-branded spirits and a selection of fine chocolates from the Piedmontese brand Baratti & Milano, with which the historic grappa company in Altavilla Monferrato has embarked on a collaborative journey, which has also led to the opening of several "Grappa & Cioccolato Store" in Milan and Alba.
