In recent days, at Borgo Antico San Vitale, home of the Franciacorta Distilleries, the General Assembly of Members unanimously appointed Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti as President of the Women of Grappa for the three-year period 2017-2019, the youngest member to have held this position to date.
The Assembly thanked the outgoing President, Valeria Luparia, for her valuable work leading the Association over the last three years.
During the Assembly, they then proceeded to appoint the new board of directors, which is composed of: President Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti, Vice President Anna Gozio, Councilors Mariacarla Bonollo, Livia Bertagnolli, and Valeria Luparia; Alessandra Gatti remains in office as General Secretary. "Promoting responsible drinking, bringing spirits to younger generations in a responsible way, and communicating spirits culture through women will be the cornerstones of my commitment," assures the new president, Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti.
A new era thus begins for the Women of Grappa, led by two dynamic young women who will look to the future of Grappa in pink through the eyes of the new generations, who are very strong in promoting Grappa and everything that surrounds it!
The association involves hundreds of grappa enthusiasts (in Italy and around the world) and operates through events, a presence at Vinitaly and other industry events, meetings, tastings, and the association of the Italian spirit with numerous cultural events, all of which work together in synergy among all the member distilleries.
