Twelve months of homage to the scenic richness of Monferrato
“We are surrounded by nature. A fundamental balance that gives us its fruits in every season and on which the entire sustainability of our planet rests. In every territory, different habitats coexist in an intricate interplay of complicity in which man is not only a spectator but also a protagonist, sometimes unknowingly. In this new year we have decided to start again from here, to begin again from ourselves, from our roots.”
With these words, the new year of Mazzetti d’Altavilla, which is set to begin in October, with the arrival of the new pomace that sets in motion a magical new distillation cycle. And with autumn also arrives the 15th edition of the Artistic Calendar , which will accompany enthusiasts and collectors until September 2021, offering evocative views of the Monferrato hills over the coming twelve months. This year, its pages will take you on a journey through the natural landscapes found among the UNESCO hills, a tribute to the richness and variety that nature has bestowed on the places where the company has been located since its founding. What artistic photographs can be admired on each page of the almanac? They range from vineyards to orchards, from aquatic environments to arable land, from meadows to forests, also spanning lesser-known but equally spectacular natural landscapes such as olive groves and quarries. The images, all previously unpublished and the work of Alessandria-born photographer Paolo Bernadotti, were taken in recent months in various corners of the Monferrato area and also trace a journey through the different colors (and emotions) (such as the purple of lavender fields and the yellow of sunflowers) that characterize the changing seasons on the slopes where the pomace distilled by Mazzetti d’Altavilla. "From the hills of Monferrato ," comment Chiara, Silvia , and Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti, aka the seventh generation of Mazzetti d’Altavilla , " we want to (re)start by enhancing the paradise that surrounds us. Month after month, the faces of a World Heritage landscape that has never ceased to amaze us await us. As is tradition, the images from the new Artistic Calendar will be reproduced on large-format media and will create an artistic setting in a new corner of the headquarters over the coming weeks, in addition to the exhibition dedicated to the 13 tourist sites of Monferrato, inaugurated last year in the Historic Park. Copies of the almanac will be available at the Mazzetti d’Altavilla starting the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.
