Twelve places (+1) to visit in the new Mazzetti d’Altavilla calendar

“There is no story without a place. There is no family without roots. There are no typicalities without a land. For Mazzetti d’Altavilla the place, the roots, and the land have one name: Monferrato.” This is the leitmotif of the new Artistic Calendar Mazzetti d’Altavilla 2019/20 , which accompanies the twelve months between 2019 and 2020, following the distillation season, under the banner of the beauty of the UNESCO hills surrounding the distillery. The calendar concludes in September 2020 on the eve of a new vintage.
“Convinced that tourism promotion is the key to improving the offering and increasing tourist flows in the area – explain Chiara, Silvia and Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti, aka the seventh generation of “Distillatori dal 1846” – over the twelve months the journey among the spirits of Mazzetti d’Altavilla will be accompanied by twelve unique places located in Monferrato, which preserve attractions capable of attracting quality tourist arrivals.”
Which are the places immortalised in the Calendar and which are proposed to tourists from all over the world thanks to the bilingual format of the new Mazzetti Almanac?
After a suggestive aerial image of Altavilla Monferrato, the village of Grappa, we start with the ancient porticoes of Moncalvo, the Benedictine cloister of Grazzano Badoglio, the Synagogue of Casale Monferrato, the infernot of the Ecomuseum of Pietra da Cantone of Cella Monte, the ancient village of Ozzano Monferrato. So we continue with the medieval concentric of Montemagno, the Bialbero of Casorzo, the ancient Via Dell'Entrata of Calliano, the glimpse of Moleto of Ottiglio, the view of Vignale Monferrato, the Belvedere of Coniolo and the rows of Ruchè of Castagnole Monferrato. Six places in the Casalese and as many in the Asti area, an area of ​​great landscape variety and vast tourist potential, located around the most historic distillery.
“Admiring these images, the result of moments captured by the photographic mastery of Paolo Bernardotti – comments the young generation of Mazzetti d’Altavilla represented by the sisters Chiara, Silvia and Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti – is like a foretaste of the beauty of this mythical land, waiting to experience it fully through the emotions of a visit and to taste it through the spirits which, without being protagonists of the almanac (but merely companions), enrich the passing of each month with perfumes and aromas.”
The Calendar's images have also given rise to a permanent exhibition, the "Angolo di Monferrato," which has been added to the open-air photographic itinerary featuring images taken in the UNESCO landscape by the twelve photographers selected for the 2017/18 Artistic Calendar. This exhibition, located in the Mazzetti d’Altavilla, welcomes the tens of thousands of visitors registered each year at Mazzetti d’Altavilla, with a growing preponderance of visitors from abroad. The collection of photographs, in giant format, is freely accessible every day, while the Artistic Calendar can be requested at the Grappa Store in Milan, Marcallo, and Altavilla Monferrato.
