The distillery was honored at the MAXXI in Rome in a special event with Davide Oldani
"The success of a family-run business that hasn't missed a beat." With these words, Mazzetti d’Altavilla celebrated its inclusion in the collection of "100 Italian Excellences 2020" selected by the prestigious and authoritative magazine Forbes Italia , which celebrated "the culture of beauty and well-made" with an event held Monday in Rome in the spectacular space of the MAXXI, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts. An evening dedicated to excellence, from North to South: Forbes, the world-renowned magazine for rankings, economic culture, entrepreneurial leadership, innovation and lifestyle, paid tribute, with the professional help of So Wine So Food, to artisanal products that speak of tradition, luxury hotels, starred restaurants and wineries that promise unforgettable experiences. Many prominent names in business and haute cuisine were present, including chef Davide Oldani, who commented: “You have to be visionaries, know how to use technology while maintaining that creative and artistic spirit that is copied and envied around the world. And above all, take care of people.” And among the one hundred excellent products, the spirits of Mazzetti d’Altavilla, a historic grappa company active since 1846, are the protagonists: in the selection, the work of the seventh generation (Chiara, Silvia and Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti) is mentioned, speaking of a “perfect combination of respect and admiration for the glorious past handed down by the founders, and the courage to accept new challenges.” Making a fine show of itself in the collection of excellent products and during the event's gala evening is the 7.0, the Grappa Barricata di Ruchè, a true standard-bearer of Monferrato, tasted and targeted by the flashes during the event in the capital. “We consider this recognition ,” explain Chiara, Silvia and Elisa Belvedere Mazzetti, “ the best way to kick off 2020, which marks the distillery’s 174th year of operation. With our company in Rome among the Forbes 100 Excellences, we also believe our region is a winner through the promotion of a rare, native grape variety like Ruchè.” The UNESCO hills of Piedmont are also the protagonists of the new emotional video by Mazzetti d’Altavilla, launched just a few days ago with the launch of the new company website and social media. In this video, through evocative, previously unseen footage, we witness the journey from the earth to the drop of distillate, the final element that marks the completion of an ancient production cycle, passed “from hand to hand.”
